The Patient Education Series, Ask the Expert, is an opportunity for patients, families, staff and visitors to ask questions and receive handouts on a given topic. No reservations are needed. All programs will be held in the 1st floor Weinberg Lobby unless otherwise noted.

Brain Tumor Education Group
Meetings are held the first Wednesday of the month from 10:30 - 11:30 AM in the Weinberg Building, Room B-143, located on level L-2 in the Radiation Oncology Department. All patients, family members and caregivers are welcome.

Children's Orientation Program
Saturday, May 10 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Weinberg Building
The Children’s Orientation Program is designed to provide school-aged children ages 5 through 18 with social support, education, and information regarding a parent or grandparent’s diagnosis and subsequent treatment of cancer. Licensed clinical social workers, nurses, physicians, ancillary and support staff will all be a part of the program.

Multiple Myeloma Support Group
This group is for patients and their caregivers to learn about living with multiple myeloma and meet others with similar concerns. The next meeting will be held Tuesday, May 13 from 1:30 to 3:00 PM in the Weinberg Auditorium. Refreshments will be served. Complimentary parking provided.

RESPITE ROOM
The Joanne Rockwell Memorial House 1910 E. Jefferson Street Daily 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM FREE
The Respite Room is a private room located at the Joanne Rockwell Memorial House. It is open to patients, family members, or visitors to temporarily rest and relax between outpatient appointments or treatments while they are on-campus.
To schedule use of the Respite Room call the Rockwell House at 410-955-2304.
RESOURCE INFORMATION ROOMS Daily 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Patient and Family Services Education and Resource Room Located in the Harry J. Duffey Family Patient and Family Services Suite 1210, the Education and Resource Room offers patients and families access to resource information and educational materials in the forms of books, pamphlets, videotapes and through Internet access. We appreciate and gladly accept any donations of unneeded books, videos, and additional resources.
Patient Education Resource Room The Patient Education Resource Room is located on the 2nd floor of the Weinberg Building in the Outpatient Infusion waiting room.
Radiation Oncology Resource Room The Radiation Oncology Resource Room is located on level L-2 in room B-117 across from the nursing station in the radiation treatment area. |
