Cost: $125 million This amount is part of an estimated $ 1 84 million building project that includes a new cancer research building that will be completed in late 1999. This project is funded by a variety of sources including the state of Maryland, private donations, the National Cancer Institute, and others.

The Bunting Blaustein Cancer Research Building 1650 Orleans Street, Baltimore, MD 21231
THE FACILITY
- 122,000 net square feet
- Working space for 400+ researchers and staff
- Engineering support areas separate each of the five laboratory floors. The interstitial design will allow building services to be installed and modified without interruption of research
- activities on floors above and below.
- Additional faculty and graduate student offices are also located on these intermediate levels, connected to the main lab floors by connecting stairs located in interaction spaces on each floor.
- In addition to laboratories and offices, the building houses support spaces which
- include a 6,000-square-foot vivarium, a BL-3 lab, glass wash, irradiators, and
- laboratory services.

This amount is part of an estimated $184 million building project that includes a new facility which will house the clinical services of the Johns Hopkins Comprehensive Cancer Center. The Koch Cancer Research Building1550 Orleans Street, Baltimore, MD 21231
The 267,000 square-foot building opened in March and expands a complex for cancer investigators on the southwest corner of the Johns Hopkins medical campus. With five floors of laboratories and 10 stories of office space, the building is home to researchers in fields including prostate, brain, pancreas, skin, lung, and head and neck cancers. From Washington, D.C., and Virginia and the I-95 access at Baltimore-Washington International Airport:
- Take I-95 North to Exit 53 (I-395 North) into Baltimore. (Note: Do not take the Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. fork of the exit).
- Turn right at Pratt Street (by Baltimore Convention Center).
- Stay on Pratt for 1.4 miles to Broadway; turn left on Broadway.
- Turn left from Broadway onto Orleans Street. Go one block to N. Caroline Street and turn right.
- Follow the signs to patient parking.
- The entrance to the garage is on McElderry Street on the right.
- When exiting the garage, go to your right and down the steps. You will see the loading dock to your left, and two identical brick buildings straight ahead. The Bunting-Blaustein and Koch Cancer Research Buildings are straight ahead.
- Take I-95 South toward Baltimore to Exit 57 (Boston Street and O'Donnell Street).
- Proceed on Boston Street approximately two miles and turn left onto Fleet Street.
- Follow Fleet Street to Broadway; turn right on Broadway.
- Turn left from Broadway onto Orleans Street.
- Go one block to N. Caroline Street and turn right.
- Follow the signs to patient parking.
- The entrance to the garage is on McElderry Street on the right.

- Take I-83 South (Harrisburg Expressway) into Baltimore (Note: I-83 becomes the Jones Falls Expressway as you approach Baltimore).

- Follow Fayette toward the medical campus.
- Follow Fayette Street to Broadway and turn left.
- Turn left from Broadway onto Orleans Street.
- Go one block to N. Caroline Street and turn right.
- Follow the signs to patient parking.

- Stay on Pratt from 1.4 mile to Broadway; turn left on Broadway.
